How do I manage overnight shifts in Timeline View?

In Timeline View, the display of stacked shifts covers twenty-four hours, from 12:00 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. Overnight shifts are shifts that begin one calendar day and end on the following calendar day.

When a shift goes past the end of a day into the following day, Timeline View cannot show the entirety of the shift.

To address this issue and provide a complete view of the day, Timeline View shows the part of the overnight shift that crosses over to the next day. For example, if a shift spans from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., only the segment from 12:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. will be visible on the Timeline for the following day.  The first five hours show on the previous day.

Moreover, overnight shifts that span across two calendar days in Timeline View are highlighted with a +1 or -1 marker, signaling managers about staffing surpluses or deficiencies. By simply clicking into the shift, managers can promptly rectify any staffing imbalances.
