This document provides instructions on how to share the SchedulePop Manager and Staff apps on your Google Meet phone screen for live training.
Preparation
- Check your test account to ensure you have plenty of examples to share during Features training.
- Use a test account for Features training.
- Before the meeting, download Google Meet on your phone.
- Make sure you have downloaded the Staff and Manager apps.
- Ensure you can log in to the Manager and Staff apps.
- Ensure you have a test user to log in to the Staff app.
- Set your phone to Do Not Disturb or another setting so that incoming calls do not interrupt your app demonstration training on the phone.
- Set your phone not to go to sleep and not to turn off the screen for at least an hour.
Sharing the Manager and Staff Apps On Your Phone
- When you join the training session on Google Meet on your computer, you should also open the meeting on your phone as a Manager. Open another window on your phone and log in as a test user in the Staff app. Have both the Manager and Staff open and waiting during the computer training.
- Leave the meeting on the phone but leave it set so that you can instantly rejoin the meeting on your phone when it’s time.
- After you finish the Features training on the computer, let the client know you are going to make the transition from your computer to your phone, so you can show them the Manager and Staff apps. Tell them it will only be a few moments. Tell them there may be silence while they wait.
Navigating to the Meeting on the Phone
- Quickly turn off the camera and mute the meeting on your computer.
- Turn off the speaker on your computer.
- Go to your phone and make sure the volume on your phone and on Google Meet is on. That’s two different places.
- Rejoin the meeting on your phone and start sharing the Manager app.
- Show them the layout and quickly demonstrate how the Manager app works.
- When you have shown them how to use the Manager app, scroll over to the Staff app.
- Show them the features on the Staff app in three minutes or less.
Navigating Back to the Meeting on the Computer
- Tell them you are going to navigate back to the computer and that there may be a momentary silence.
- Quickly close the apps on your phone.
- Turn your computer speaker on.
- Turn on the camera and mic on Google Meet.
- Make sure they can see and hear you.
- Conclude the meeting.
Note:
This process will differ depending on the type of computer and phone you have. You will need to work out the details of this process individually. However, this should be a good road map for a tricky transition. Requires practice. Be patient with yourself. Work with each other to practice.
