How do I copy Break Time?

You can automatically copy over Break Times when duplicating shifts or schedules in SchedulePop. Whether you’re copying a single shift, a full day, or one team member’s schedule, break times will follow along by default — saving you time and ensuring consistency across your schedule.

(Prefer to start fresh? You can easily deselect these options before confirming your copy.)

How It Works

Copying a Single Shift

When you copy an individual shift in Staff View or Monthly View, the Break Times attached to that shift will automatically carry over.
No extra steps needed — the system includes them by default.

Tip: If you prefer to omit the Break Time in the copy single shift action, simply delete the Break time/times from the first pasted shift and proceed with copying the shift with no Break Times attached.

Copying by User or Day (Staff View)

When you use the Copy by User or Copy by Day tools in Staff View, you’ll now see a checkbox:

  • Copy Break Time

This is pre-selected to make copying faster, but you can uncheck if you prefer not to include this information.

Flexible Copy Options (Staff View)

When replicating schedules across multiple days or weeks, Flexible Copy lets you choose exactly what to include.
Simply select or deselect Copy Break Time to customize what carries forward — ideal for refining recurring patterns without duplicating old details.

Tips

  • Review copied Break Times to ensure uninterrupted floor coverage.
  • Deselect options when building a new schedule template from scratch.
